New IPB Board?

Featured Replies

Should I start my new board using IPB Beta 2?

This is a completely fresh board, should I wait until the final comes out?

um how about IPB3 RC2? instead of beta haha

yeah why not? its allowed for live using..

You should beware that there is no technical support for the RC - so if you experience a problem and you are unable to fix it yourself, you'll be out of luck.

With that in mind, I personally, would wait until final.

don't use the RC or beta for your live board

At this point, using RC2 for a new board probably isn't going to kill you. Most bugs have been worked out by this point, and the final release is only weeks away. That said, like Mark said, if you do happen to run into an issue with it, you can't come to IPS for help--they don't give support for pre-final releases.

Yeah, I should have been more exact ... ;)

I upgraded my production board to RC2, as I didn't want to wait any longer. I find it stable, but it also depends if you're comfortable not having any official support.
