Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
ZakRhino Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Hello I just found out about IP Board and what options it offers, so far I'm loving what I'm seeing. I'm a VBulleting user and would love to switch to IP Board. The only thing that is stopping me is trying to find information about the two products called IPD ynamic & IP Nexus Suite. For me to make a portal in VBulletin I have to add another program and switch between products to get what I need to get done. I really hate that cause it just more problems trying to update and skin everything. From what I can read it been a long time for and update on the product and wanted to know where does it stand now. I'm not sure if I miss some posting about it but didn't find anything my searching the forums. Thank for any information anybody can give. Zak

ZakRhino Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Thanks for the fast feedback Sparc, I hope it does come back.
stoo2000 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I'm not entirely sure if it is what you are after, but IP.Board does come with a portal, I've never used it though so can't give you anymore information about it i'm afraid.
Garthilk Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 IP's portal software pails in comparison to the free Vbulletin portal, Vbadvanced. Both in terms of features and addon products.
Feneroin Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 IP's portal software pails in comparison to the free Vbulletin portal, Vbadvanced. Both in terms of features and addon products. but vBadvanced is paid, no?
optrexnz Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 no, vbadvanced is free as a portal. IPB portal is limited, but I am also pinning my hopes on NEXUS to be resurrected. The odd site I come acorss where they are using it look so much better.
Garthilk Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Yeah, Vbadvanced is free. It's lacking two or three core modules I belive, but still, there is very little better than it for Vbulletin.
