Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
.Matt. Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 478 active user(s) (in the past 30 minutes) 409 guests, 3 Anonymous Users | Show by: Last Click or Member Name I know we can all do math here, but wouldn't it be easier if it said the active registered users as well, instead of overall, guest, and anonymous users. Like the old versions.
Ziv Grosu Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 That's right, I think they will add it for the final release or.. we can create a little guide for adding "'x' members"
Tony Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Actually I've reported it as a bug in the past, but bfarber said that it's working as intended. Kinda strange to not be able to see how many users are online. http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=12010
Brett B Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 That would be nice :). Not sure why it was removed.
bfarber Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Actually I've reported it as a bug in the past, but bfarber said that it's working as intended. Kinda strange to not be able to see how many users are online. Because it's not a bug - what you see is how Rikki intended to it. And I find it confusing you stating "Kinda strange to not be able to see how many users are online" - they're listed right there on the page. What do you mean by not being able to see how many users are online - each one of those users is listed right there, so I can't imagine how you can NOT see how many users are there. Just me. I'm indifferent on this personally. It seems to me something so trivial - one of those things I just don't see why people care at all. Ultimately up to Rikki.
Guest Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I'd contest that the number of registered users online is more valuable information than the number of guest users online... but then i'd probably also argue that it's altogether pretty useless anyway.
