It doesn't and I don't see any mods for IPB 2.2 that do support tagging.

Forums are losing a lot a ground to blogs despite blogs being an poorer medium for user interaction. IMHO, forums need to adopt more of the web 2.0 inspired features like tagging and community moderation to stay competitive.

Tagging as in the board tracker type of tagging? The 2.1 version of that works for 2.2 with a change or two. I still sue it.
