entire image clickable

Why not make the entire image clickable for resized externally linked images? Attachment thumbnails work this way, where is the uniformity? :unsure:

There is an issue doing this if you wrap an [ img ] bbcode tag with a [ url ] bbcode tag - you run into a conflict (clicking the image should open a new window with the image in it, or open the link based on the [ url ] tag?).
