Working4computers Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 If you mean if the "Whos Reading this topic" is a feature of IP.Board, then yes, it is a feature of the bottom of the thread. If you wish to move it to the top, I believe the is a mod on IPSBeyond, though I'm not sure.
ErwinB Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Is this feature in IPS?IPS -> IP.BoardIPS is the company ;)
JavaGenius Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Thanks a lot Jean Working4computer: I mean all the members who already read this topic (now + past)
bfarber Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Yes, this is a feature in IPB.Go to the forum topic listing, and look under the 'Views' column. The number is a link. Clicking it will show you who has viewed the topic in a popup window.
JavaGenius Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 bfarber,I went there but, the numbers are not links as you said!
JavaGenius Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 ohlet me correct it for you. The linked numbers are the "Replies" which show you the members who posted to the topic. And again, What I meant is that showing the members who did read the topic (either they posted or not)...
bfarber Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Ah, you're right. For some reason I got replies stuck in my head.Tracking every topic view indefinitely would add a significant and noticeable amount of overhead to the software, and it is not done in the stock installation. Individual topics a member has read *can* be stored, though there is no way to retrieve them on a per-topic basis (rather, IPB uses the read topics on a per-member basis when calculating what icon to show in the forum). There are probably modifications that do this at IPS Beyond.
