Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
danbopes Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Here are some of the errors I got...Upon returning from paypal, I got this error message:Just noticed this when I was at a page:When registering, I noticed the phone fields were especially large:
Angus Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Mistake on IPS Hosting Page??In http://hosting.ipslink.com/compare_shared.html and http://hosting.ipslink.com/compare_community.htmlunder "If paying annually", the monthly charge is same as those paying monthly. Since paying for a year can receive a 10% discount, shouldn't the monthly charge reflect that as well?
Rikki Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Mistake on IPS Hosting Page??In http://hosting.ipslink.com/compare_shared.html and http://hosting.ipslink.com/compare_community.htmlunder "If paying annually", the monthly charge is same as those paying monthly. Angus Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Another error is:In this page, http://hosting.ipslink.com/shared.html ... the website hosting package name are "Lite", "Moderate" etcBut in this table: http://hosting.ipslink.com/compare_shared.html ... the name are different, they are "Entry", "Personal" etcFixed - Rikki
ZuCruTrooper2 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Another one on the dedicated servers page:On Dual Xeon+, the image says 3.2Ghz while the description says 2.4 GhzFixed - Rikki
danbopes Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 If you go to the client center then look at the title of every page, it says:Invision Power Services | Web-Based Community & Business Software | {$pagetitle}Fixed - Rikki
danbopes Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 If you go to the client center then look at the title of every page, it says:Also..., on this page:https://www.invisionpower.com/customer/inde...ticle&id=84You have a link going to the downloadable converters that is an invalid link.
Brandon C Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 On the Invision Power Services :: Community :: Board :: Features page, it says under the section "Powerful customization" the following:IP.Board makes it an easy task with it's built in customization tools. It should not have an apostrophe in there, as that is "it is". It should read:IP.Board makes it an easy task with its built in customization tools.Fixed - Rikki
danbopes Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 So are any of these things going to get fixed? The pagetitle thing is kinda obvious.

Ax Slinger Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Can someone fix the Cookie Settings? It's kind of annoying to have to log in every time I open the forum. Thanks...
Cybertimber2009 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I think you're the only one having that issue. I haven't been on since yesterday and I didn't have to relogin.
sully Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 When submitting a ticket, and being redirected to the FAQ page - the following error is sent down the page many times:Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: repeated subpattern is too long at offset 92 in /home/ipslink/public_html/customer/core/sources/ips_kernel/class_ipsclass_core.php on line 729Browser: Firefox 2.OS: Windows XP SP2 (up-to-date :P). ;)Also, as said elsewhere, there is no "Piracy Tracker" forum
pcheek Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Heres just a small fix...On the Management page, in the different levels/categories (breadcrumb) the link to the homepage is using the "htp://" protocol.http://www.invisionpower.com/ip.dynamic/co...management.html<div class='breadcrumb'><a href='htp://www.invisionpower.com' title='Homepage'>IPS, Inc.</a> > <a href='/ip.dynamic/corporate/' title='Corporate'>Corporate</a> > Management</div>Fixed - Rikki
Brandon C Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 There needs to be an explanation of the 404 message, versus just saying "File Not Found"... e.g.: http://www.invisionpower.com/somerandomlink redirects to http://www.invisionpower.com/ip.dynamic/corporate/404.html, which states the "File Not Found" message.
Justin Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I think you're the only one having that issue. I haven't been on since yesterday and I didn't have to relogin.Wrong.I also have to re-login about once a day, or every other day... Havent really detected a pattern to it...
Brandon C Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Wrong.I also have to re-login about once a day, or every other day... Havent really detected a pattern to it... :ph34r:I get this issue on a regular basis as well.
sully Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 On the Client Centre -> Your Purchases -> "My Purchase" (Blog) -> Under "Downloads", Download Invision Blog -> Click here to download( Download other versions ) The links are not working. They give a 404 Error. The links to either are;https://www.invisionpower.com/download_blog...wnload_type=ziphttps://www.invisionpower.com/download_blog/index.php
Cybertimber2009 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Lindy would it be possible that a link from the main site to Invision Domains be added, and Invision Domains get a bit of a face lift?
Brandon C Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 http://invisionzone.com/ should redirect to http://hosting.ipslink.com/ as the http://invisionzone.com/ page currently is not a pretty sight to see.
stobbo Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Do you know how long it will be until the Blog, Gallery and Downloads will be on the Demo? I would like to demo the blogs and gallery, as I may want to purchase.
elj Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 All these bugs are in Safari 2.0.4 on OS X 10.4.8 at approximate browser resolution of 1168x708.1. When viewing a knowledge base article, there's no spacing between that and the IPS Beyond information below it.2. On 'Your Feedback', the page goes completely off.3. The menu at the top of the site doesn't work correctly, the arrow is floating in the middle of nowhere.4. The piracy page views really badly (http://www.invisionpower.com/__ipd_directory/index.php?component=piracy&do=show_form).5. Some of the boxes on the site don't have any padding at the top.6. The Service Standards run into the box.7. Some of the Knowledge Base articles are dropped onto the next line.
Keith J. Kacin Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 I have merged your seperate topic with this topic, to better help organize reported site issues.
elj Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Sorry about that! Can you delete the post above it?
Brandon C Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 On the Community Hosting page, it shows the following in the links: IPS, Inc. > Hosting > Website HostingScreenshot: https://ipbtutorials.com/images/ipssite/ips...ity-hosting.pngIt should say: IPS, Inc. > Hosting > Community HostingMy useragent is: Mac OSX 10.4.8 using Safari 2.0.4
