Post count suggestion

Hello, ipb-developers.
Maybe its already was, but i would like to see this thing in future versions of IPB:

1. Users who have less than X posts can't create new topics/post (global and per forum)
2. Users who have less than X posts can't view forums (per forum)

Thanks.

Just use group promotion to take care of this. Make your default 'Members' group not have the posting/viewing priveleges that they shouldn't have, then have them promote to a higher group with more priveleges after X number of posts. Just have to remember to allow the Members to post somewhere, or else they'll never get that promotion.

You do realize, right, that if you can't post, then you will never make it to X posts to be able to post? Sounds like an infinite loop to me.

Lmao...

I was thinking the same thing.

In my case for example, keeping people from only posting in the advertising section by making them have X # of posts in the general arena.

I mean that if user have 0 posts, he cant answer to topics , BUT can create own topics!

and second (most important): global control of post count for creating topics.

and one suggestion else: Invites
New registration disabled, but users, who already in forum can invite users to forum by some referal code.

Thanks

nah, The idea could work but it would be too hard to add into 2.2 in RC3 Stage.

The referal idea can be done using mods.

Like I said in my post above, you can already do this using group promotion...

There is also a mod call Post N View

Which makes it so you need a minimum amount of post to enter a forum..

Just expande it to multiple forums

Cheers
