theclub Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 that doesnt answer the question regarding the 'original input' of information in the signiture field as a validating member. Editing information is a different function. ;)There is no signature input as a validating member, or when you register.
Black Prowler Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 that is incorrect....I constantly have spammers putting links in thier signiture as a validating member.
TestingSomething Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 that is incorrect....I constantly have spammers putting links in thier signiture as a validating member. :blink:Because they are doing it by imputing it by editing their signature. It is still called editing it, even though it is their first time to do it. That is what bfarber is saying is fixed for the final release.
Black Prowler Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 well that's quite confusing since editing and inputting info are two different things  I'll just hope it's fixed and see what happens
theclub Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 that is incorrect....I constantly have spammers putting links in thier signiture as a validating member. Boy, do you even READ these posts? It has been said over and over, they COULD do it as validating but it has now been FIXED! Read Bfarber's post, he fixed it for the next release.
Black Prowler Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 yeah I read posts but apparently you do not. he said the 'edit' issue has been fixed. that is NOT the same as input. I was seeking clarification. But since peeps can not read posts I will just assume that is what he ment.
Michael Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Yes, editing is the same as inputting. When you register at a forum, you are given a signature, but it is null. In order to input a signature, you have to edit what you already had. There is no difference between putting in your first signature or changing to a new signature, they are both considered 'editing' the signature.
Black Prowler Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 well to me 'editing' is changing something you already put there, whereas 'imputing' is entered for the first time. ;) thanx for the clarification anyway. :)
