Sinistra Sensei Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I am using IPB 2.2 RC 2 and IP.Gallery RC 1 both stable both working with no problems
todorov.com Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 No need to upgrade to RC2 since FINAL will be released this week, or at last next week.
Mat Barrie Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 No need to upgrade to RC2 since FINAL will be released this week, or at last next week. You know what they say about assumption...If you don't, let's just say the word filter probably wont let me tell you.
. Adam . Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 :P 2.2.1!! We haven't even got the final version of 2.2 yet.I'm sure when 2.2 is released, there might be an indication of 2.2.1, if needed.:)Ok, 2.2.0! lolI wasnt sure if there was a 2.2.0  If we tell you, we have to kill you <_<Hmm, tell me then come find me  lol- Adam ;)
Working4computers Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Ok, 2.2.0! lolI wasnt sure if there was a 2.2.0  - Adam ;)If I understand correctly, the final shall be released as 2.2.0 (2.2) then there is likely to be patches to 2.2, which will be shown as 2.2.x.After a few of them! :P Hopefully we shall have version 3.0!! (w00t)
Indie Cindy Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Version 3? Keep your pants on dude. Lets just get version 2.2 installed first, ey? ;)
Working4computers Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Version 3? Keep your pants on dude. Lets just get version 2.2 installed first, ey? ;)I know, I know! Its a little while off.... I was just pointing that out the routine of development/release structure... >_<
AChaudry Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 The all new IPB 2.2 looks really nice, however I am going to wait for a stable release before I use it on my live board. I am glad progress is really good on IPB 2.2 and cannot wait for the real secure product.
cynic Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I have ti up and running on my server. Works well for me. No downtime yet ^^
todorov.com Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 You know what they say about assumption...If you don't, let's just say the word filter probably wont let me tell you.You got any problem?Want more proofs that FINAL is comming these days?http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...mp;bug_cat_id=6They are even talking about 2.2.1 soon enough.
Mat Barrie Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 You got any problem?Want more proofs that FINAL is comming these days?http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...mp;bug_cat_id=6They are even talking about 2.2.1 soon enough. So? They've been talking about v3.0 for a while too, and that hasn't been released. In any rate, it is unlikely to be released in the next few days. Bearing in mind that bugs exist in 2.2 and have been flagged as "Fixed", an RC3 is likely to be required.
TestingSomething Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 So? They've been talking about v3.0 for a while too, and that hasn't been released. In any rate, it is unlikely to be released in the next few days. Bearing in mind that bugs exist in 2.2 and have been flagged as "Fixed", an RC3 is likely to be required.I am almost 100% sure it was said 3.0 would be out this year, but I never am able to find proof that Brandon or Matt said that, and obviously it is not going to, whether I ever find they said it or not. lol
Guest Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I wouldn't bet on that, 3.0 is likely not to be even out at next summer.
Millar Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I wouldn't bet on that, 3.0 is likely not to be even out at next summer.Agreed, besides I think once they get 2.2 of IPB sorted out, they will move their concerns to IP.Dynamic..
Mat Barrie Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Agreed, besides I think once they get 2.2 of IPB sorted out, they will move their concerns to IP.Dynamic..* Nexus is next, if I recall correctly.

This does not change my comment that FINAL will be released after some days, probably next week.
Mesmer Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 And what? This does not change my comment that FINAL will be released after some days, probably next week. You are free to believe whatever you want. Everyone his own religion.

It's not going to happen. ;)
Mat Barrie Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 And what? This does not change my comment that FINAL will be released after some days, probably next week.I win. RC3. Now we have an entire RC release to wait for a complete cycle on. I am certain that final will NOT be release early next week, halfway certain that it wont be late next week.
