Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Keven Fox Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Hehe, perhaps there needs to be a "Drunk Person's Refuge Thread" or board like they have on the Cerulean Studios (guys who make Trillian) forums. Entertaining for the sober people, embarrassing for sobered up people. Anyway, that's WAY off topic!I LOVE that idea and might just implement it at my site thanks :)Actually maybe a whole forum, but I'll start with the thread for now lolEdit: I was hoping this would merge with my last post or I would have tried to edit that post.
TestingSomething Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Well the private beta testers must be using RC2 because there are bug reports for it by .Logan.
Alex Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Its a good news that rc2 is close by :)It may be a little while, if you notice some of the bugs are quite severe, like 'Unabled to create a topic' etc.
Cool Surfer Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I dont understand, how can there be so many errors, after such a stable rc1 release.
Logan Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 There isn't really. The only 2 really new (major) ones after RC 1 is unable to make new topic, and switch editor not working. From other bug fixes, those probably became broken. The other ones I've reported have been there in RC 1 I just didn't get around to reporting them until now.
UnitedPakistan Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Why are they putting the names of some of the problems RC2? If it isnt out yet? I am confused...
Grant Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Some people are privately testing the software in a closed group. They have a copy of RC2 already.
UnitedPakistan Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Let it be noted that I hate you(those privately testing)!
.Ryan Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Yeah RC2 private testing, I am not sure about. Because there is no need to private test it if its getting released to the public. When you give it to the public we all find problems and its easier to sort out. I do give IPS a lot of credit for shuffeling through the bugs and stuff.
Sinistra Sensei Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Seriously, do you get some sort of satisfaction of it coming out or waiting for the next version?Sheesh. :ermm:you have people that want a faulty board so they can blame IPB for releasing it to soon. These people have no life outside the internet. or they do they just want to make stupid posts asking stupid questions. if they would bother reading the "Announcment" forum they might understand that it will be a few weeks till its released.
bïöµï¢ Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 [..] bigger [..] is always better? look pretty big 2 me :)
Keven Fox Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 What the hell?lmao Taylor, when you grow up, you'll understand
