The file size

When I extract the compressed file of rc1, it told me the size of 13 MB??? Why it is so big??

Yup... ;) The size doesn't bother me personally...FileZilla just gobbles em up and uploads to my site fairly quick. :)

I'd like to see the download file in different compressions. For Example, my rar'ed version of 2.2rc1 is only 2 MB big. BZ2 and others could probably improve this even more.

3mb, is about 40 seconds on a decent connection.. And if you're still on dial up, then you deserve all you get.

As part of our new build and deploy system, Brandon and I went through and removed a load of deprecated files and folders which has shaved around 700k of the zip size.

but there are still a lot of unused images in the style_images/1/ directory. most notably:

others i think are out of the ipb game are:-






the folder: folder_rte_images seems to be depreciated too.

i know there are more, but am too lazy to list 'em all :D

I created a bug once with them all. It was ignored

The images will be cleared when we redo the skin.
