Posted August 15, 200618 yr In IPB 2.1, management > manage forums I can't mark few forums in admin panel and just select to delete them, I need to do that one by one. I wish that this would be possible in IPB 2.2
August 16, 200618 yr I don't think this is really needed. You usually need to manage one or two forums in a go. If you need to delete more, a SQL query will be more sensible.
August 17, 200618 yr So why there's admin panel then? We can do anything cia SQL then? LOL.This is faster way, yesterday I deleted 18 forums.
August 17, 200618 yr How often do you really need to delete 18 forums? I can't see how it would be worth it to code this feature in. Sure, your board may need to delete 18 forums every week or so, but I think you're definitely in the minority there.
August 17, 200618 yr didn't brandon mention on ips beyond somewhere that multi-forum actions like removing moderators/deleteing forums would become easier in the next version?
August 17, 200618 yr He mentioned about adding moderators, don't remember hearing anything about mass-deleting forums.
August 17, 200618 yr Mass management of moderators will be done in 3.0, not in the 'next version' (being 2.2).
August 20, 200618 yr It's not very often you have to do it, that's true... but if you EVER do, it is really a pain in the ass. It should be a feature I think.
August 21, 200618 yr It's not very often you have to do it, that's true... but if you EVER do, it is really a pain in the ass. It should be a feature I think.I agree.
August 21, 200618 yr :huh:Middle click is open in a new tab, this is what I do when I want to change a lot of forum rules/permissions/settings, middle click them all, each forum has it's own tab, make the changes, I'm done.As opposed to open>edit>close>scroll down find the next one>open>edit>close>etc.
