I think that some users would find it useful to be able to force a log out on all users. All this would need to do would be generate a new log in key for all members, making all current cookies void.

just change your cookie name in the ACP, then everyone will be logged out. or more correctly, not logged in.

Its more effective to change the member login key via query.
