It would be cool to reset the member No., because on some forums the first member is member number 2 and it kinda bothers me.

Or resync what ever it is called.

Not likely, as it would be quite resource intensive (especially on large boards).

When you reset a member's number, you also have to reassign their posts and topics to their "new" number in order to preserve the integrity of the board.

This is something that should not have to be done but once, so perhaps a custom script or tool (should be quite simple to make, really) to help the admin perform this task would be a better solution. In that case, however, it is a request that is better posted on a resource site.

I don't like this as a feature - too risky and too resource intensive. I remember when I wanted the same thing you are asking for. Auto-increment is there and we just have to live with it.
