infoseek Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 now in 2.0 ,we can back up mysql online ,but we can't dumping it back to mysql ,maybe we can do it better , for example : when we back up mysql ,the sql file is stored in the server ,and wo can choose to restore it ,and meanwhile we can upload a local sql file to the server and restore the database ,in this way ,we can manage database more easily

You can though update tables manually but that becomes a bit of a pain.
