Not sure if this was best placed here, but report or support ticket. Feel free to move, transfer, do as you please. Anyway, I signed up for a demo yesterday, got the details shortly after. Went to take a look last night (uk time), had a bunch of errors of the bat, not even had chance to sign in and break it myself, couldn’t open admin panel nothing. Just tried again this morning, same again. Tried different devices, not my end.

So far, I'm loving most parts of Invisioncommunity v5. I'm currently redoing my community site into V5, even though it's in beta, as it is just a night-and-day improvement for me. That said, I feel some features have been left behind, and the first one I'm picking up on is the Menu Manager. With the use of nodes, it provides a nice swift link to another section of the site, that said, there is a sorely needed feature for this, the ability to "name" a node. I have to use an "external link" to be able to set a title, as sometimes, I want a shorter, or more direct name for a section of the forums (for example). let's say I have a category on the forums cal…

Hello. There were changes in the ips.ui.tabbar between beta 4 and beta 5. Should we adapt the html code of the tabs to the new js code? Or is it a bug?

Love that you can set up widgets dedicated to Tags, but a shame that you can't set the design to be 'Carousel' style... at least out of the box (i.e. using Page Editor). I figured it was because such a design was simply not supported/coded in yet, but I realised that all I need to do is add "ipsData--carousel" to the "ipsData--widget-tags" UL class, and it dynamically sets it to the way I'd love to see it! So the facility is there, it's just not accessible on the front-end yet..? Is there a reason why I can't set a Tag Widget to be a carousel from the Page Editor yet? I'm guessing there are maybe some bugs that need testing before you guys fully allow admins to …

Upgraded to the latest Beta today and noticed what might be a slight error on the theme when posting. If you select Emoji and then click on icons but don't select anything, and then post a link, I then see this on the submit button....

I'm not sure if it is part of the Beta testing or if anyone has played around with it, but I am quite curious as to how Zapier is involved with IC5. I'm assuming it has not been removed, but I am at a loss on how the formatting will go now that HTML support has been dropped for the editor. I played around with the test site a bit and it does not appear to offer Header or list support on markdown nor does it seem to handle paragraphs well. Obviously, I am making huge assumptions as I do not have a Beta site running and I have no idea how Zapier will be integrated, but I was hoping for some more information.

Just noticed that no thumbnails are being generated for any of the cover images in the articles, events, commerce features/apps and forum listings For example a 40px x 40px icon image is being populated by a 1400px x 1000px image Would think that on front pages etc the payload of using such large images in such a way would quickly add up Would anyone from invison like to pass on the thinking behind using full images rather than thumbnails ? thanks

It's Friday. It's the afternoon in the UK, so that can only mean... another beta release! Beta 4 is working its way through the cloud right now and should be available via your AdminCP soon. As always, the full list of changes is available via the release notes page. Those that upgraded from v4 and found white space where images in posts should have been will find this release should fix those "missing" images. Let me know how it goes!

On current version the column prefix for groups have value : varchar 250 but this is small value for us to define colors and personalization in our groups. Through this I suggest changing it to a value greater than or equal to 500. In this value I was able to define my groups without any problems. However, the support tab will alert me that there is a problem in my database, due to the change in the value of this column. I use it this way, but to use it this way it was necessary to change the column value as mentioned above. However, the support page keeps alerting me about this change and that is not good. I've been a bit pre-occupied with work lately to stay on top of Beta updates (sorry), but just caught up and installed B4 and noticed a change in how the text-against-image areas on Wallpaper widgets have been handled... I can't say I'm a fan. ^ It doesn't look very nice really. Look at all that fog around the text, smudging the background image up to the halfway point. Is there a chance we can switch this back to the way it was (or maybe revert this with custom CSS somehow)? I much preferred how it was handled before... now it just kind of looks like someone's opened a tub of vaseline over my screen, my eyes are going blinking crazy just looking at it 🙃

Hi guys (Sorry for cross-posting, I didn't realise that the old topic I asked about this was in the now-closed Alpha Club) As we're in Beta phase, I wanted to raise this topic again and see if there has been any more thought given to this? It'd be great to keep an archive of status updates somehow instead of simply disappearing them; if there's no plans then I'll need to look into a third party solution, so it'd be good to know the first-party plans so I can arrange things on my side accordingly. I have changed host for my main site deleted everything on the old host uploaded new install to the new host and get this. An installation has already been activated for this license key. Your license key entitles you to one installation only. If you need to change the URL associated with your license, contact IPS technical support. How do I fix this should I wait 48 hrs.?

Is there any beta documentation for theming HTML/CSS custom theming on IPS5 yet? Without the marketplace we need to determine the feasibility of recreating our theme for IPS5. Considering the amount of features decommissioned, lack of certain features for Classic clients, and the lack of continued support for Commerce payment methods the only two things we’re really using the IPS suite for now are pages/blog posts and a basic stripe checkout with a better external stripe checkout that actually supports all stripe payment methods. Hey Guys. Who of you can tell me the easiest way to upgrade from 4.7.18 in a short step-by-step list? I have tried to upgrade every time from beta 1 to beta 4 (v5). I go and copy all the new files into my old 4.7.18 environment. Then I start domain.tld/admin/upgrade and let the upgrader update everything once. After that, my start page is never accessible. I always get errors. For example this one A clean installation is not the problem, but currently the Converter isn't ready Is it necessary to uninstall all modules and applications before?
