  1. I just purchase this plugin but when I go to the admin panel, it requires me to buy it again. I have issues with the SSO not recognizing my "regular" admin credentials so it is likely using a different one than when I purchased it in the marketplace directly on the invision site. Can you help?

  3. Yes, I would like to still have something on the side, if possible as that is where they have seen it for years (and it is still there on the hundreds of other pages of the site) I see. That is why I thought that maybe something might be available in the Marketplace, but I would not know how to search for it.

I am currently using a plugin on my WP site that provides a little tab on the side of all the pages where a visitor can simply click and it creates a little popup where someone can type in a question or a request. You can see it on the right side of this page for example. My members have gotten used to this as I have that little tab for many years now. However, in the forum and the gallery, which are no longer WP, that little tab is no longer there. Is there something comparable that I can add, either natively or through an added module? Thanks.

  6. I have set up my forum to show, at the main page, the recent activity. That is fine. However, in some threads, there is also a side box, and I didn't put it there. Is that a dynamic content for the same box? It SEEMS like it is all the threads I started, but that seems to also be visible to non-logged in viewers. I don't mind seeing that on the admin account, but can I remove that for non-admin?

  8. I will soon hold a Bootcamp in the forum where I will add some daily feedback on the projects posted in the thread. HERE is how I would do it in the past, when using bbpress. The participants love to know what each comment refers to, but I am not sure quoting (to include the project) would make sense as it would be a super long post, every day. Is there a "simple" way to refer to a post so that the readers could know what I am referring to?
  9. I think I am almost there. I see that I can set the recent topics, but I don't see a way to display the recent POSTS (similar to what I can see inside the Invision block). Is it possible or am I limited to Topics?
  10. What is the URL for that "block"? I can't find that information.
  11. I'll have to dig a big more (unless you have more specific guidance) because I am using Elementor so that area is not controled by WP itself directly like in the article. Although I see that I can use /feed/ for RSS, I am not sure what is the "exact URL" to enter to display the latest posts from the Invision forum.
  12. @Nathan Explosion The instructions on that page points to Pages>Page Management>Blocks, however, I can't see the "Pages". Is it poossible that I don't have it? I only installed the Forum and Gallery.
  13. When I used bbpress, since it was a WP plugin, I was able to have a list of recent posts/topics on pages other than the forum itself. I was using it on the blog page, like HERE for example. Is there a way to display recent posts in my Invision forum OUTSIDE of the Invision platform? I do use SSO to integrate with my WP installation if that makes a difference.

If I was starting from scratch, I surely would consider it, but I have built my whole site using s2Member for over 10 years now so all the content is restricted based on their ccaps (custom capabilities, which are like tags associated with their purchase). It is not like the forum is the only content that has to be "restricted" but the downloads, the videos, etc. and those are not hosted inside the forum.
  15. So, if I have 10 courses, or 10 cohorts, I would need to create 10 secondary groups? And how would the members be added to those groups? I can only see a manual process here. Is that right? So if I have students registering for Course A, I would have to manually add them to Group A, and if they cancel the course, I have to manually remove them?

  17. I know about groups to restrict access to some sections to only some members. I am currently using it. Previously, when using bbpress, I was able to also restrict some access based on ccaps (custom capabilities in s2Member). This allowed me, for example, to restrict access to those who had purchased a specific course. Those customers could be in any of the existing groups so relying on "groups" to limit access is not reliable. I know I could grant access manually, to the clients, one at a time, and I might have to do that. However, does anyone know of a possible module that would allow limiting access based on other conditions than groups, especially if it could "understand" s2Member's ccaps? I looked in the Marketplace but cannot find anything. Maybe it would be titled differently?
  18. I find that the help guides are only good for the very beginning of the setting up. After that, it is a lot of tweaking and I have never found anything helpful there. That is why I post here. I search in the guides first, but 9 times out of 10, what I need is not there. I was lucky to have already set up my Gallery in September, so a part of the configuration was already done. It is also a change for my members, but so far, the response is positive as we now have some functionalities they were asking for in bbpress (like the reactions), so they are happy so far. Some of the tweaks are due to the fact that I see the forum as an admin, and they don't so sometimes, they don't see the same thing I see, and I don't know!
  19. Yes, I ended up having to pay to get the URL changed but it is all set now. Just tweaking a few things here and there as there are so many settings in the CP!
  20. I already have set the rules that 1 post = 1 point (among others). If I rebuild Members' Achievements in that manner, will it count all the "previous" number of posts, when they were still in bbpress? They currently still show as having hundreds of posts.
  21. Will recheck with them. They MIGHT be doing it the wrong way as it is all new for them.
  22. Members have tried embeding images in their posts, today, but the links still show as links.   23. So each user has to do that? There is not a "site wide" setting I can select for all the members?
  24. I know that if I follow a thread and someone replies, I get a notification. Since there are some sections that are for support, I would like to have a way to get an email notification whenever someone posts a new thread or even a new response in those threads/sections. Is there a way to set it up? Also, is there a way to automatically follow a thread you started or posted in without having to click the "Follow topic"?
  25. Great. I didn't know that. Where is that? that is likely what I was looking for! OK I found the HTML option. When clicking it, it warns me of being dangerous. How dangerous can it be?
