The CSS of the search string is broken
You will want to look at your manually edited theme template files and compare them to the default as something is missing here. Unfortunately, customizations are outside our scope of support so I have moved this to the community support forum where you can receive assistance from other clients.

Glad to hear this worked for you 🙂

Error 500 after problem during upgrade
Sorry, you will need to reach out to your hosting provider or server administrator in resolving the issues here. If you're getting "MySQL server has gone away" error message, something is preventing the software from executing against your database which is not an error you should ignore.

Glad to hear you got this all sorted out 🙂 .

Plugins & Managing Blocks
Unfortunately, this is not an issue with Invision Community but rather PHP 8 and your third party plugins. You will want to ensure you're using plugins compatible with PHP 8, if you run PHP 8 on your server. You could certainly downgrade PHP to 7.4 and see if that helps resolve your issue here. However, the server error log entries we were provided point to PHP 8 incompatibilities in the third party plugin. If you want to use PHP 8 and that plugin, you will need to work with the author on, third party plugins are outside our scope of support. At time of testing this, I only saw 1 custom plugin installed. The above information is only based on what information was tested and error log entries provided to us. If you tried other plugins, which the author says are compatible with PHP 8 and you're still having issues, you would want to disable the plugin which is not working and try with that compatible plugin only enable. If you're having issues, please let us know and we can also take a look.

Trouble Downloading the New Version of Invision Community
I have submitted a ticket to further discuss this with you. Please check your email for further communication.

Locked task issue
I understand you are frustrated but we're both kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place here. There is no roll back without loss of data or knowing that will fully resolve your issue here because of what you're attempting to do with Pages but we also can't move forward because of your own desire to not upgrade. Are you not wanting to move forward because of the issue with third party add-ons? If so, this decision has been removed on our end and you are in control of that. You can read about how that looks now here:

Locked task issue
There are several different items for rebuild tasks which are resolved in 4.7.2. I'm afraid, we will need to pause then till you are willing to upgrade so we can review this further. As we cannot review something which is resolved in the latest release, as mentioned here: Pages Fixed an issue where rebuilding record topics would fail. Fixed an issue where orphaned categories could break syncing from topics.

Trouble Downloading the New Version of Invision Community
Sorry, we do not allow the transfer of self-hosted licenses. Could you please clarify your intentions? You would not want to transfer ownership if the individual is merely downloading files initially as the account owner owns the license. Once an installation is setup, you can use the automatic upgrader to handle upgrades.

Locked task issue
Thank you for clarifying and sorry for the confusion. Your topic was split from another so might have added to my colleague missing this. Looking at your installation, could you please upgrade to the latest release to see if this helps with your issue here?

Trouble Downloading the New Version of Invision Community
Unfortunately, as mentioned in the notice, only the account owner can download files. The screenshot you've shown there would only give them permission to access support requests and pay invoices. There is no permission to download files as we only allow the account owner to do so.

Locked task: queue
Has this issue since been resolved? I am no longer seeing any background tasks in your queue.

Unparsable structured data issue
Could you please provide the URL to the content piece referred to here? If you would not like this public, please feel free to message me it.

Mark forum posts as unread
Sorry, this is not something which can be done via the software at this time. If you would like to see this in a future release, please leave your suggestion in our official Feature Suggestion forum for further evaluation.

Repeated errors running tasks
They are not safe to ignore, it is an error connecting to your database which would need to be resolved. If these only come up with tasks, you may wish to ensure that there isn't some issue where CRON is running under a different PHP instance which is having some restriction. My suggestion would be to work with a server administrator, if you are unsure how to troubleshoot this.

Upgrade Error to latest version
You're very welcome. Glad we could help!

Upgrade Error to latest version
Seems you're missing files in the /admin/upgrade folder on your server. When going to that on your community, I am being met with a 404 not found error. Please go to the Client Area and download a full set of files then extract these to your local computer and upload the contents of the "ips_****" folder to your server, overwriting what is there. Once done, go to {base-url}/admin/upgrade in your browser. Be sure to replace {base-url} with the base URL of your community.

IPS 4.7.2 final major problem
Just to note, this is a third party author, not ourselves.

Update failed - no access to my community/admin panel
My colleague just responded to your ticket but the answer is you would simply go to {replace-your-community's-base-url}/admin/upgrade in your browser
-
Update failed - no access to my community/admin panel
I am unsure what you mean. Did you complete the upgrader at /admin/upgrade ?
-
Update failed - no access to my community/admin panel
Anyone running into this will need to ensure that they've ran the upgrader at /admin/upgrade . That will resolve it 🙂 .
-
Update failed - no access to my community/admin panel
If you have the same issue as the OP, you would just need to ensure you complete the upgrade after the files are applied in /admin/upgrade in your browser.

Prompt or Suggestion for Push Notifications?
This prompt actually comes from Chrome, not our software, so please ensure you're using Chrome and do not have it installed. Then Android OS with Chrome browser should prompt you when it detects the manifest.

Prompt or Suggestion for Push Notifications?
Are you stating that you are not receiving push notifications or the prompt to install? Please note that you will not receive the prompt to install the PWA if it is already installed. Which from your quote above, sounds like it is already installed.
