That was my issue. Disabled and my phantom msql load gone. Not sure if it’s a conflict or what and have not had time to look deeper. I also enabled slow query logs and nothing really came up. It was also preventing some of my newsletters from going out. I thought it was that app at first. Just saying, shut it off and check as well as other apps.

Just out of curiosity, are you runing mail bouncer? If so, try disabling it. If you have other apps/plugins, start disabling one by one to see if anything is causing the hang up.

What did you end up doing with this? I have members who post podcats via: captivate, youtube, feedspot, spotify, anchor.fm, etc. I have them being RSS imported into forum topics right now but was thiking of building something in pages or a custom app that embeds the players for each platform. If there was an app that was maintanined and allowed importing of podcast feeds under members, I would be very interested. Forums topics is just not ideal now that its more and more of them.

I have to agree. Every image page refreshed. I almost would have rathered a built in slider like the main page block and if you click on the image, then it takes you to the image page. So you get internal links to image pages. I have a banner ad above and its not positioned well for this and doesn't play nice.

I can see that, if you are not really into monetizing your community. For me, it wouldn’t work. If I’m not earning from monetizing my sites, I’m not really interested.

I would be interested as well as we continue to watch features not available to self-hosted clients. I have multiple licenses and although not happy about the direction, I can understand business models changing. I don't fault IPS for evolving and differentiating services. At some point I will probably have to make some hard decisions myself, hopefully way down the road. Cloud pricing just does not compare to having multi-license self server/hosting. Plus, I can tweak and modify my environment as needed. I run my own cloud..lol. As far as non-IPS staff members jumping into topics like this to provide "answers", I have to agree...it can sometimes be a bit annoying as I read threads. I'm not trying to discourage discussion its just that we pay for answers that are sometimes expected from IPS Staff only, just saying.... However, maybe those individuals are "interviewing" for the next open IPS staff role...at least it seems like that. If that's the case, best of luck to those individuals! 👍

You can optionally hold all newly posted links for moderation, which is what I do.

Got another one today. The IP Ban setting was not followed and they still used the IP to login and post. I added it to my cloudflare firewall as a rule for now.

I got these on two sites as well. What's interetsing is that on one site it was a user who registered in 2015 with no posts and another it was a user who registered in 2016 with multiple posts that were ok until now. Ban IP 109.107.166.230

I would buy a plugin to achieve this. I think you need to be able to do something like this for marketing purposes. This as well as coupons custom to subscriptions.

I was having a /usr/sbin/mysqld spike to over 100% CPU under my server processes. I had to kill it to stop it but it would creep back up. I checked a slow query log and nothing. Disabled bouncer and the issue is gone. Any ideas? MYSQL 8, using Amazon SES

Are you using the mail bouncer app? I had to disable that for newsletters to send.

For some reason, when I have Bouncer enabled, my newsletters will not send from the app below. Happening for a few weeks. Anyone have the same issue?

I just noticed that mysql process on my server is at times peaking over 100% which I find odd. I've killed the process a few times to watch it go back up. I'll have to dig in. Running the latest IPS version and mysql 8.

I watched the video and it's great to see that gallery video transcoding will be a cloud only feature... That's sarcasm...I hope they at least did something with the titles for SEO. It really would nice if you allowed self hosting customers to use AWS libraries on their own. Or give a developer the ability to create these features and support with a plugin or app. That goes for all the "cloud only" features. Your cloud pricing is just not comperable to self-hosting, especially multiple licences.

Feature suggestion...add member content count to statistics so we can sort by members who have posted a good amount of content and dig into why they flagged as spam or have a bounce.

I had a task hung up on newsletter distribution myself... However, I'm using the mailbouncer app and that is what was causing the hangup. as soon as I disabled that, it completed.

I'm looking for an ACP utility that will allow me to add everyone that has posted in a topic as a follower, including the topic starter. I have some old sites, I would like to manually force followers that are not following over the years. So if the topic has 20 members that posted, they get a new start and all follow. They can later unfollow as needed. Not sure if something like this exists but willing to pay if it makes sense. Thanks.
