Hi all,

I am looking to implement/install a custom script on my board - can anyone advise how best to do this from the admin panel?

I am specifically looking to implement a link anonymize script like the one from this site that anonymizes all links on my forum: https://anonym.es/en.html#multiLink

I do use the IPB Cloud and I wasn't sure if I was able to do this myself.

Hello all,

On my forum, I would like to utilize the 'Thanks' button so I have disabled the current 'Thanks' and changed the 'Like' button to 'Thanks'.

My issue is that I do not want to utilize the reputation system, but I would like to utilize the reaction system by only having the 'Thanks' as the only button.

Currently, it appears that if I disable the 'Reputation' capability, that this also disables the use of the 'Reaction' system, even though the 'Reaction' system is enabled separately.

Can anyone help me sort this out so I can use the 'Thanks' button with the 'Reaction' system with the 'Reputation' system disabled?

Also, I would like to make sure that the forum block 'Popular Contributors' is removed from my forum homepage. I understand that it doesn't show when the 'Reputation' system is disabled and I am fine with the disabled 'Reputation' system, but I do want to use the 'Reaction' system without having to have the 'Reputation' system enabled.

This looks quite promising. I will follow along and purchase should the search be centered.

Is there the possibility to change the location of the search bar? Instead of in the top left of the page, can you have a search bar appear in the middle of the page, currently where it says 'Minimum 3 Words'? Have the search bar be there, rather than up high? I would like it in the middle of the page and then have the search results display.

I'd like to know if you can help me with the correct CSS for the Fluent theme to allow my sub-forums to stack on-top of one another on the homepage. For example, instead of my sub-forums being seperated like this: Community Discussion, Support, Moderator Announcements, Forum News, Technical Reports I would like it to display like this instead:

Also, I don't want the commas appearing after the text like how it is currently separated in the default layout so once I have it set up so that the sub-forums stack, I don't want the commas there.

@Ehrenok, gotcha. I'm assuming if the theme gets updated, I will also have to update to each time the custom.css? Would this be correct?

NEVERMIND. I just saw in the file that it says it doesn't get overwritten etc. Answered my own question.

@EhrenIn reference to the custom.css file - is this something I would set up under pages --> templates ---> css ----> create 'custom' and then paste the code above into?

1. "Ignore Topics" DISABLED
2. "(NE) Hide Content" enabled - Correct
3. No settings applied in "(NE) Hide Content" (as per your provided screenshots) - Correct

Do you have Adriano's "Ignore Topics" application installed? Or is it a something else - if so, what is it?

And the final thing - disable whatever that is. Does the issue still occur?

Yes, I do have Adriano's 'Ignore Topics app installed. I have disabled IGNORE TOPICS and activated your APP and no error is generated. 

@Nathan ExplosionI've attached my settings. I am getting the error when logged in as Admin. FWIW, I am using the IPB Cloud for hosting. Error is appearing in a normal forum, not a Q&A. Not associated with a Pages database.

And probably rather helpful to know, I do have the Mark Topic application active.

Hey all,

I have a question about posts in my forum. When I wrap code around text that is in a list format, the text list appears very long. Previously, the text list wrapped in the code wrap would change to a box that you could then scroll the text within it, now, when I make a post, the list goes down the whole post rather than just having a text box that I can scroll up and down within the post, effectively making the overall size of the post stay a normal size rather than taking up a huge amount of space. Does anyone know how to remedy this?

Is there a way do you know to make this required when starting a topic? For example, you have to choose which prefix option you want when creating the topic.

Is there a way for users to close the slider rather than it being fixed and shown permanently?

This isn't entirely on topic, but do you know if there is a way to make it a requirement for a Saved Action to be chosen before the topic is posted?

For example, in a forum where someone is about to post they will be prompted to add a saved action option to the post before it can be submitted.

A couple of other requests if possible:

-The ability to download and export their private messages

-The ability for moderators to see users logged in anonymously in the 'Who's Online'

Is there a plugin available for forums to distinguish a user as a miserable user like the original plugin on vbulletin which then in turn when a user is classed as 'miserable', a member suffers ;

1. Slow response (time delay) on every page (20 to 60 seconds default).

2. A chance they will get the "server busy" message (50% by default).

3. A chance that no search facilities will be available (75% by default).

4. A chance they will get redirected to another preset page (25% & homepage by default).

5. A chance they will simply get a blank page (25% by default).

6. Post flood limit increased by a defined factor (10 times by default).

7. If they get past all this okay, then they will be served up their proper page.

The way this is achieved is by creating a 'miserable users' usergroup and set the value of this group, and your preferred other settings. To make a member suffer just edit their profile to add them to the miserable users group (it will work as either the primary group or as a secondary group).

Hello all,

I'm not sure if there is something already available for this on IPS, however, on vBulletin when creating a new post, the text would autosave as you were creating the post. This was helpful for example if you accidently navigated away from the post you were creating or the power goes out or something takes you away from creating the post, it is autosaved and reloads when you come back to the text box. Is there something available like this already on IPS or can something like this be implemented?

I'm getting a display error on my forum - it's showing on three different threes (one of them is the default theme). Any advice?

Also, FWIW, I've made sure all themes etc. are up to date, but I'm still getting stuck with the notice.
