Is there a way to set it to return Unique Topics only?

Instead if it's not had any replies in that time, the a message is displayed saying the topic cannot be replied to.  

It applies to all posts, though obviously new posts might take quite some time before you see the action applied to it since since it has to reach the post age limit for it to apply.

Will this close old posts or just posts going forward from initial installation.

Is there a way to automatically close topics based on dates? I don't want to archive them because I want the search engines to still be able to index them. It's become a huge knowledge-base.

Donation made and completed on PayPal, but it's not showing on history of Payment Log or Top Donators. Please advise.
