The database name, database username, and database password can be found in your conf_global.php file.  That will be what IPB itself uses to connect to mySQL.  If the database user has full permissions, it should also include the ability to repair the tables owned by that user.

Thanks for this. This helped me get the issue resolved.

Good to know, I'll check there. Thanks.

Repairing a database is not done within the IPB software.  It's a server level activity.

You may need to contact your hosting provider for assistance.  A search of Google for repairing mySQL databases on Windows servers turned up the following which might help you:

If you are unable to repair the database at all, you may need to restore it from a backup.

I was afraid of this. I'm used to cPanel or webmin/virtualmin etc. wouldn't be an issue on those, but this is a learning experience for me. Thanks for this, I'll see if I can track down the username and password for the database.

If your host uses cPanel, DirectAdmin or CyberPanel, go to phpMyAdmin, select the database, scroll to the table and select repair table for it.

Sadly it doesn't look like we do. (I wish as I'm familiar with that) Whoever set this up set it up on a VPS Server running Server 2016. I've found a database connection manager, (heidiSQL) but I don't know if this will do anything (assuming I can find the username and password to connect to the database)

  5. We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now.

Table '.\remnants_boards\ipbcore_store' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed

You can try again by clicking the button below, or try again later.

The only way I can seem to get into the Admin Center is if I remove \define( 'STORE_METHOD', 'Database' ); this brings things up; however, it also take out all databases etc. How / Where can  go to repair this crashed Database.

I've already tried recovery mode, and that didn't resolve the issue.

Unfortunately we dont advise the use of IIS (and indeed dont support the product being used on that software) as its known to cause issues.

We're going to look into migrating to Apache if that's possible but that sounds like a fresh set of headaches.  It would be great if we could just move our site to the Invision Cloud infrastructure and in that begin using Apache.  Not sure how smooth that process is but we'll look into it.

  7. Hello, Invision Support!  We have been experiencing issues where our forum pages are not loading correctly.  Here are some screenshots from some of our members.

Can you suggest any settings that were changed that may have affected the loading of our pages which led to these problems in page loads?  We are fully updated on the site.  We were experiencing horrible performance prior to this and made some other settings changes to see if that would improve things.

Could it be a security setting or would this primarily be caused by something in Invision Community?  We are currently rebuilding the lazy load media in content after having disabled that setting.

Reloads on the members' end seems to resolve it 95% of the time with some exceptions.  One user stated they reloaded a page 21 times to get it to work.  I find this hard to believe but we'll take their word for it.

  8. Hello Invision Community Support!  We are unable to update to the latest version because after moving our PHP settings to use PHP8.

Could contain: Page, Text, File, Webpage

After that is confirmed, I then hit "Continue" and get the following screen:

Could contain: Page, Text, File, Person, Webpage, Face, Head

We have ensured that all applications and plugins are either disabled or updated.  There were no longer any compatibility messages being displayed.  We were sure that everything was handled before we initiated the update.

    Please advise.

  9. having installed your app and getting the server connected to the forums.  I'm trying to associate the forum groups with TS3 groups but every time I push the save button, the group associate page reverts to all -1's

additionally, The Global Messages tab in admincp gives the following error

We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now.
