Of course, saying all that, I intend to look into adding the ability to edit the member's status and about me text from the edit member page on the front end soon. Most people causing problems (or spam accounts) tend to update Website, Status, About Me, and/or Signature. You can only fix website and signature from the front end currently, so giving you the ability to edit the other 2 should help make things simpler.
That would help a lot, thanks!

True enough. He's suspended now. But, moderator preview of posts is kind of useless if you can post straight to status and have it show up on the front of the forums.

Sorry, I have him on moderator preview. Still think it should be locked though. or have an explicit option to lock it.

Here is an important, imperative update:
Lock a person's status updates while they are suspended. I've suspended a member and he is using his status updates to post comments. -
Betas are never intended for use on a live board. Basically, if you do, it's at your own risk and if anything goes powerfully wrong, then that's your own fault buddy.
The RC stage is when you still don't get official support but it's considered safe enough to use on a live board.
In short, Beta 2, I wouldn't recommend on a live board, but if you do it and it works for you, then awesome.
I know. I'm merely making a point that some of us rely on this software and were led to believe that it would be ready faster, not dragged out over months. -
I hope the next beta is ready for production because time is money here. If you expect to keep sucking money out of me for services, then I need to make it so I can give it to you...

I think what needs to be done is the lifetime/perpetual license holders should not have to give up their license to get this service. They should be able to retain their license while if they wish they can pay a $25/6 month fee on TOP of their current license without having to downgrade.
The fact is license holders are being forced out of their license for a service they want and would most likely pay for if they did not have to lose their current license status. Find a way to allow someone like me who has a perpetual license to KEEP my perpetual and still pay $25/6 months and things would be fine.
I'm with ssslippy on this. I think lifetime/perpetual license holders should have the option to pay for the service without giving up our lifetime licenses.

I am definitely looking forward to this as well. Anything that makes integrating the forums with the rest of the site easier makes my day.

Ah good. I'm wrapping up my new 3.0 skin so this should be ready about the time I'm ready to upgrade.

It is a great suggestion then for when it is made a community project. I'd definitely like to see it as well.

As a lifetime license holder, I'm quite happy with the result and have already set up the spam service.
Thanks for listening!
