  1. In IPB3 the PM popup is very messy whenever you receive a new message, it looks like a jumbled mess of letters and words, here is a few suggestions to tidy it up a bit:

    1. Implement a character limit for PM popups, freely adjustable from the ACP.

    2. Parse emoticons, BBcode, new lines, and line breaks in PM popups or at least add an option to enable/disable these formatting options.

Another thing is I spent over a month trying to figure out how to change the amount of images to be displayed on the board index for the hook Gallery images on index. I finally figured out that I needed to manually download and edit the hook file. Perhaps adding an option in the ACP for the Gallery to adjust this option for the hook is something to consider. :)

    +1 :)
  2. I don't see ANY problem in http://www.gnm.co.il/site/Index.php ???

I'm using FF 3.5... On which skin, browser do you get the problem?

Don't you find it odd that none of the Israeli Forums are using v3.0.3 (other than the default skins or 100% skins)?

tell them to buy only quality skins, mine is by Evanescence I can't say they are totally bug-free on RTL board but you can alway tweak your ipb_style to get what you want.

  3. The only problem with that is, just like articles, it gets too wordy and opinion based.

A manual is something that should be developed by a company, not a community, with the quickest and easiest explanation to using the product . A wiki is just the opposite.

are you asking for a video based tutorials with big red arrows pointing to a setting along with a voice of a sexy lady? :D
when I said wiki, it's just because: everyone has one. wikis are the perfect media for geographically distributed people who work on a common project, they are easy to update, organize, search, and proven to be successful over and over again :)

  4. I believe that option or a similar feature is already available. If you notice at the bottom of the thread, there is the option to hide post below a certain threshold. This is tied to the reputation system, so if a post gets enough negative votes, it get hidden.

yeah but it's set to show all by default. I wonder if there is a way to set the default viewing threshold for ALL users at once.
  5. Hello

If you're a youtuber or youtubing you would know by know that youtube relies on its community to flag contents that are "not appropriate" and I think the process is automated or is it? anyways, I wander if we can emulate the same principle here in IPB where the users can decide if the contents of a post is unappropiate and flag it accordingly, and when the flag's number reaches a threshold, it hides the content of the post and displays a warning message that the contents might not be appropriate for "minorities".

Now, who thinks this is a good idea? and who thinks youtube is stupid? because it's their idea not mine :)

  6. Hello users of IPB

just been viewing the online users list and found some interesting entry:

    yahoo_searching_.png

to be honest I'm not surprised as I still remember a few days back when I discovered that Google was replying to a topic in my board.

Now is this a bug or feature
