  1. Happy posting people, BIG THANK TO THE IPB TEAM! (I'm glad I paid the extra $5 for preferential treatment :P )
  2. I'm loving the new skin, although I always want options, I think getting the RC > Final out is key first along with Lo-Fi before adding more things, skins can come later, I just want a semi-stable board, kudos to the devs, they have done well!
  3. Damn I wish I hadn't renewd now, I would have waited until the new IPB 3 release, I only paid the $25 as IPB beta 1 was announced a few days before my renewal, here I am due another payment in a month or so! And I think I have used support ONCE  - Ahh well it supports them I guess.
  4. Doesn't that mean you'll pay full price and not just $25?
  5. I don't wanna come across as rude here but... Have you READ ANY of the other 3000 posts with this same question? You could help beta test which will help YOU and IPB by knowing if there are bugs/errors in your web server environment and it will get the release ironed out faster and make it more secure/bug free for the final. Or just sit back and be bugged about it whilst everyone else beta tests. :P We were told BEFORE June for the release, and just FYI - there will always be bugs, IPB just want to iron the major ones out prior to the major release.
  6. I gotta admit, it's in almost EVERY topic regarging Beta: "DO NOT USE ANY BETA FOR LIVE SITES" - Couldn't have been said enough. I hope you are able to figure out the upgrade, if not, better to be 200 posts than 10'000 posts!
  7. I'm just having a laugh, I agree on the solid(ish) release though, they have done well so far!
  8. Personally I think they will just throw the RC to us as a gift, if not, will be after June  It's not like there won't be any more bugs, there will ALWAYS be something to fix.
  9. I can't wait, glad I re-installed 2.3.6 on my site, I didn't expect to have a 'true working' upgrade script from Beta to RC. BRING THE RC :lo:
  10. I don't believe IonCube will be needed with the RC - They have it for bug tracking purposes only. (Is my understanding, staff will need to confirm this)
  11. I think my post has brought back thousands of members for happy viewing, I also believe it's increased sales by 0.1% - Can I get IP Gallery for a gift? lmfao
  12. So Beta 5 by midnight tonight and RC by Monday? - J/K
  13. When I click 'Back to top' it throws me there instantly...
  14. My understanding is bfarber means, they want to iron out all the current bugs and skin issues, get the RC out and then for next versions of 3.x.x consider adding new common ideas that members request... I could be incorrect but would only make sense in order to not delay the RC build more than needed. bfarber, do you think we are going to see a beta 5 or would it be possible with an extended delay to release RC soon? Just curious.
  15. IPB generally try and keep there features different from VB, cool feature though I agree.
  16. Ah ok, yeah I checked it, still the same download. Thanks. Ah ok, yeah I checked it, still the same download. Thanks.
  17. Getting closer to RC (I know Beta 5 has to come first, maybe 6 and a few more) I can feel it in my bones :P I'm happy, VERY early Christmas present huh?! Was beta refreshed? I see IP.Board 3.0.0 Beta 4(.1) on here...
  18. yeah that would be cool, have areas in the code commented out so some can have certain looks and other not :D - would make it nice.
  19. I wish I knew how to skin, I would so be digging into IPB 3 - I have NO clue, changing images is easy but CSS, well that's chinese to me lol
  20. Doesn't get any more straight forward than that. Nice Explanation.
  21. I feel that if IPS is developing IPB based on the CURRENT STABLE FF RELEASE, then you should all be using that, and leave it to IPS to iron out issues with the FUTURE release of FF, who's to say it isn't FF Beta that is at fault and not IPS, you can't fix BETA with BETA. Just my 2p (wait I can say 2 cents I live in Arizona now, not Leeds :P )
  22. Wow you looking for love? "I'm sorry darling, OK?"
  23. And as usual, I over read things hurrying through the posts as I always do, thanks for confirming that, another option I have overlooked over the years, would be nice for it to be on by default though, but that's my personal preference. Still not complaining though, I've always been happy with the software.
