Running this as a test, I did not have any issues. My guess is that you used incorrect credentials for the Client Area login there. Please go to /admin/upgrade in the browser to finish the upgrade.

With those sttings, only Admins can edit the value from ACP.

You would remove the "Member can edit value?" option. As mentioned above, only admin then would be able to edit it, but that must be done from the admin CP. There is no way around that

You would need to ensure that member edit is enabled. If it is, please provide us access to your community and an example member.
