I tracked down the issue. Hopefully fixed in the next release.

If you turned on Rewrite URLs via the ACP > Search Engine Optimisation (and added the .htaccess), the issue will go away now. :)

Have you checked your hosting provider's compatibility before installing IC5?

It's quite strange to say, I noticed that you have a lot of customization on the site.

Have you tried removing them? Trying the system without major changes?

Another thing I noticed is that your site has become extremely slow because of the "MODAL" used in the main index.

Have you tried disabling it?

If all goes well, we'll release the final version on Wednesday.

Maybe a dumb question, but do we anticipate any errors popping up if upgrading from Beta 1 to the final version out ~Wednesday?

The last update worked, except for one forum (where there are millions of posts). It caused members to not be able to access any topic in that section until a patch was applied. So, a little nervous to update now heh. Thanks for the hard work.

Upgrade to beta 3. It's all good. I always upgrade this site first. If anything happens, let me know and we'll sort ASAP.. but it won't. The changes in b2 and b3 are small.

The bug you mention was patched quickly. It was to do with building SEO titles.

(I still have PTSD)

I know that each update takes a different amount of time to complete, but another Kudos I think the IPS team deserves for IPS5 is that it rips through applying its updates significantly faster than IPS4 ever did.

Running on the same server with an exact copy of my database and files, the IPS5 install is sooooo much faster to process.

We're fortunate to have a great team. @Ehren @Matt Finger and @Esther E. tear through the bug reports for Invision Community 5. Then we have Stuart, Daniel and Ryan working on other projects alongside v5. @Olivia Clark keeps us all in order. 🤣

I’m going to get @Olivia Clark a new whip for Christmas this year. She clearly needs it with all the efforts to keep everyone in line and on time!

If all goes well, we'll release the final version on Wednesday.

All good for us

Mmmh I get something.

Pages, with CSS included, can not reach anymore the css file.

I had to edit & save (without doing anything else) each page to get back the css file well linked.

Before that move, the link to the css file was in the Page but was unable to find the file. Edit/save the page seems to update the link to the css files.

Please let us know if you are seeing this anywhere else, before you correct it, so we can see the issue

Since the beta version update, the events now show minimal details. Before, the cover photo showed an event on each day of the month; now, it just shows the full month with a link to the event page.

Any ideas?
