The custom emojis I uploaded are 20 x 20px. When posted they are far smaller than that.

Are they being reduced in size when posted, if yes, can that be edited somewhere?

We're discussing it internally and will likely show them the size they were uploaded. We might change the labelling to "Stickers" which is kind of what they are called now.

Is the size going to be sorted out, custom emoji still tiny when selected in editor and when posted (more so on desktop)

Indeed, as much as we'd like to fix everything and improve everything within 6 days, there are limits as to what we can do. 😀

JS/UI is all @Matt Finger and @Ehren. Their skill sets in those areas are levels above mine.

This custom code improved somewhat situation but there is still problem with most of custom bigger emojis:

They are at the moment.

In terms of the size, that should actually be resolved in 5.0.6
