Como Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Hi all, I am pretty certain this is new behaviour. Apologies - I am uncertain of the correct term to describe it. Virtually any content in Invision v4 (I have not tested in v5), a blinking pipe appears within any or next to ant text I have I clicked on near. It also appears next to images. This behaviour does not occur in Firefox or Chrome (desktop). This also occurs at this website: https://invisioncommunity.com/news/ I am aware that I can prevent this behaviour using CSS: body * { user-select: none; } But using the universal selector at the root of the site is poor practice (where it would be applied to every element), and this 'fix' also prevents selecting text for quoting or simply copying. Maybe this behaviour has always been there and I did not notice. My Google searches turned up no obvious answer to this. I just find the behaviour a bit annoying - but maybe its just an Edge thing. Is this affecting only me? Or is this new behaviour? Thanks.
Solution Jim M Posted December 1 Solution Posted December 1 Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce this. It sounds like it may be an extension/plugin of your Edge browser if you cannot reproduce it in Chrome. As Chrome and Edge run the same engine.
Como Posted December 1 Author Posted December 1 No enabled extensions, and no apps. But you are correct, I've now tested on another device, it is the Edge browser on my main computer. I have no idea what's causing this. I guess I'll just wait for the next browser update and see if it is resolved.
