Rich N Posted August 9, 2023 Share Posted August 9, 2023 Is there anyway that something like Adminer could be added as an Application or embeded somehow that it uses Invision's SQL connection. Im faced with the situation where server admin is AWOL (self hosted), and we have Invision admins and trying to get a good backup of all the Invision tables just in case. Any insight to pulling backups off would be greatly appreciated. Adding such a tool poses a secuity risk. That is why the SQL Toobox was removed in the first place. Do you have Ftp access? If you have no ftp/cpanel access then there is not much that you could do to make a backup I am afraid. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I realize it is a security risk, we where thinking if we could do something like that, get a backup and then remove or disable the Application or plugin.. at least we have a backup of the community. You could share the host log in details amongst yourselves (admins) to avoid situations like this. Or you could look into hosting your forum with Invision and you will not have to worry about stuff like this anymore.
