Como
Hi. We have just finished converting our SMF forum over to IPS and I received a warning about usernames being as login credentials. I intended to change username to email address as the credential, but I have no idea what is meant by 'standard' and 'converter'. Further, I have read various threads here which indicate potential problems with these settings. Please advise before I make changes. Thanks. Solution Marc Posted July 21, 2023 Solution Share Posted July 21, 2023 As you have done a conversion, edit both of those and change them both to email. When you do a conversion, it needs to add a converter login method, which actually works with the standard one. It checks if it's a converted login, and if not uses standard, so when you have those mixed (one set to username and one to email) it can cause problems and confusion SeNioR-

Como
Oh, and what of these? Allow Admin CP logins? Allow front-end logins? I assume both normally should be allowed. Yes?
Marc
I would indeed set them to yes 🙂 Como
