Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
PatrickRQ Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 (edited) Hi, No sure if you noticed but I get the issue every time I want to upgrade to new version. I follow normal procedure, chose to upload update pack manually and click next.. upgrader starts to see new files being outdated/modified, cannot proceed with upgrade then. Any advice? Marc Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 If you are upgrading to the latest beta, you have unfortunately upgraded at the same minute as a release. So its downloaded the files, and then checked against the latest (which has now changed). Please upload a fresh set of files from your client area, and test this again.
PatrickRQ Posted February 2, 2023 Author Posted February 2, 2023 (edited) Consider blocking "upgrade service" remotely for the time. It forced me to restore backup as I ended up in cache errors i could not get a rid of. Edited February 2, 2023 by PatrickRQ
Marc Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Sorry to hear that is the case. Its simply a timing issue here. The chances of this happening are very very very remote. I would say however, there should have been no need to restore. You should always upload a fresh set of files if you get that issue. If you couldnt get rid of the issue by uploading a fresh set of files, then that wasnt actually your problem
