Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Stormwolfe Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Hello, I am the owner/manager of a very small writing group. However, our site has hundreds of story topics and thousands of posts. Sadly, we are having to consider closing the site. A decision has not been made yet. Is there a way to preserve our story topics and posts short of having to copy and paste each one to documents on our computers. This would literally take forever. Thank you for your help.
Solution Jim M Posted December 28, 2022 Solution Posted December 28, 2022 Sorry to hear you're needing to close. We can provide you with a full backup of your community which would contain a database and attachments/uploads backup. The content of your topics/posts/the whole community would be contained in the database backup. If you're looking to just back these up, this is sufficient. However, if you're looking to extract this information, you may need to hire a SQL professional to do so if you are not comfortable working in SQL. If you want us to generate you the backup, please let me know and I can convert this to a ticket to obtain some verification info which is required 🙂 .
