Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SpookyThings Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Hello, I've deleted all the threads / posts but total post count is still 35k, is there a way to recalculate this figure?
Jim M Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Has the system completed deleting all posts in ACP -> System -> Dashboard -> Background Tasks? If so, you can perform a recount, by going to a member -> click "Posts" -> Recount -> Recount for all members. SeNioR- 1
SpookyThings Posted November 22, 2022 Author Posted November 22, 2022 Thanks for your swift reply, I deleted them via the database as it was much easier. I've ran the recount task, hopefully that sorts it.

Please keep in mind that this is not suggested (or supported) as there are many relational tables within the database and if you don't get every instance, it can completely brick your installation. The worse part of this, is you may not know till later down the line. This is why we recommend doing everything via the software itself. You can use the "Move/Delete content" option in ACP -> Community -> Forums to delete content or the whole forum. SpookyThings 1
