I have installed the download extension, but I would like the download button to be accessible only for a certain id group.

You need to update the permission for each Downloads category in your ACP. Remove the download permissions from any groups you don't want the button to show up for.

That's how I have the permissions done.

That seems indeed right. Just to double-check have you tried viewing the page as a guest or logged in as a member in a different group than the Administrator group?

If you checked as a guest, it's possible guest caching was showing you a page cached before you changed the permissions. Clearing the cache from ACP >  System > Support should help.
