current_controller reporting 'offline' in sessions

on viewing the core_sessions table, a fair few members/guests sessions are showing the current_controller location as 'offline'

is this normal?

and if so how does this reporting work, as in if the member is offline, then how would they connect to the site?

Im not sure why you would be looking in that table. What is it you are trying to determine here?

To note, this is related to PWA and not related in any way to what you are thinking about.

was just trying to track some server log errors down and was wondering the how's and whys of this 'location'
