Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
JohnDar Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I have my Gallery images stored on S3. They were originally on my server, some years ago but I migrated over. I suspect that there are a considerable number of images saved on S3 that are no longer actually in the Gallery. I'm not sure why this would be, but even taking the different sizes into account, the numbers don't add up. Is there a way that unwanted/unused/orphaned images can be identified and removed? Doing this could potentially save me a bit of cash.
Solution Jim M Posted October 25, 2021 Solution Posted October 25, 2021 There shouldn't really be a need to do this as our software will purge those items automatically, e.g. when an image is uploaded but the user does not complete the process. There is a task which runs about every 24 hours to do this. There are some variations of images stored for gallery so you will see the number of images be larger than the number of images in gallery on the front-end of your community.
