A "semi-private" forum—is it possible?

Hey guys, new forum creator here. I'd like to know if it's possible to display post titles and the first [x number] of words to guests and search engines?

I want the public to know there's content there, and get a sense of it, but only members can view all of the content.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreaciated!
