Customize friendly URL and redirect old URL to the new one

I want to change the clubs URL from:

https://site.com/clubs >> https://site.com/index.php?app=core&module=clubs&controller=directory

to: 

https://site.com/groups >> https://site.com/index.php?app=core&module=clubs&controller=directory

But I do not want to lose the old URL links. Is there a way to set a URL redirect 

https://site.com/clubs >> https://site.com/groups

inside IPS or will I have to use Apache redirection?
