Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
AtariAge Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I'm running 4.4.4, I'm seeing emoticons are loading from HTTP instead of HTTPS in the Messenger. They seem to load over HTTPS in forum posts, though. Is anyone else seeing this? How can I fix this so they are always loading over https? Guessing these are being loaded for the editor. Also looks like one isn't loading at all (the 404 you see at the bottom). Thank you, ..Al
Management Matt Posted June 19, 2019 Management Posted June 19, 2019 Are those from older pre-upgrade messages?
AtariAge Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Good catch. Yes, looks like if I load an older conversation (and currently when I click on a conversation it nearly always opens the first page, and some of these are pretty old), I get the http warnings. However, after reading your message, I first opened a post-upgrade message that had some emoticons and it was all https. Opened a few others, they were fine. Then opened an old, still ongoing conversation, which opened to the first page, and then the warning appeared again. And looks like it remains if I keep clicking through other conversations (old and new) presumably due to the ajax nature of Messenger. Then I looked at the background tasks that are still churning in the background. The forum is still processing the Messenger posts (it's at 27% as I write this). Is it safe to assume that it's correcting these emoticon URLs as it processes them? Were they hardcoded with the full URL of the board in the past? Is it processing these in reverse chronological order? Thank you, ..Al PS: I need to wait until the background tasks finish processing before I make any further posts like this... 🤫
Management Matt Posted June 19, 2019 Management Posted June 19, 2019 Haha, yeah the task will likely fix them. They were hardcoded back in the 3.x days.
