Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Jennifer Harnetty Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Hello, We have had some children posting on our forum and the moderators and I were wondering if there is a setting to require members be a certain age to post? I couldn't find anything on the back end, but I might not have been looking in the right place. Thanks! jen
Adriano Faria Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 For new accounts, you can enable COPPA. For new accounts and to force existing members to fill the birth date, you can use:
Black Tiger Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 For new registrations only, you can also use AdminCP -> System -> Login & registration. You can setup to use Coppa there too and also the minimum age required to log in. You can set up the birthday requirement on registration options too. However, I doubt if that will help a lot using such feature because people can lie about there age, so if they see this and want to bypass it, they'll just use another date of birth which fits the need.
