Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Black Tiger Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I would like to create a Facebook login for my sites/forums. However, my Facebook account is on my full private name and my site on my alias. Most users only know my front name, not my last name and can't find me on Facebook and I would like to keep it that way. If I create an app on Facebook so users can login to my forums, it is possible for those users to easily find my real name? Or is this only used to create the app, visible for Facebook and myself but not for others?
AutoItScript Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 They don’t see your name in the app. Mine appears as “AutoIt Forums” and doesn’t seem to be visibly associated with myname. However, you do have to provide links to a privacy policy which the users can access when link their account. So depends on how you identify yourself in that.
Black Tiger Posted March 16, 2019 Author Posted March 16, 2019 If the links to the privacy policy are allowed to be the privacy policy on my forums, then just my alias is in there. So I should be fine then if I understand correctly. Thank you.
