Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
pavero Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Hi, I just installed an SSL certificate on my website and followed the IPS procedure. My website now appear to be only partially safe. Browers indicate something about images not being safe. Also when registering/login there's still a message saying the connexion isn't safe. Can someone please help me understand how I can make my website 100% in https ? Thank you
opentype Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Make sure to flush the cache (“Something isn’t working correctly”) so theme images are updated. Make sure to use the image proxy function so embedded unsecure images in posts are delivered over https. If you still see problems: identify the problematic images with a service like https://www.whynopadlock.com
pavero Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Thank you very much for your reply. I've cleared both the website and browers cache but I'm not sure where to use the image proxy function. Can you please help me out with that ?
opentype Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 If you can’t find something in the ACP, just use the ACP search function. If you type “proxy” in there for example, it will take you to the setting.
pavero Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Got it ! Thank you very much I've activated the option and chose to rebuilt the content. When the process is done i'll check again if the website is in full https.
pavero Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 Hi, I had some bugs following to the latest update (totally my fault) but everything is back to normal now and unfortunatly my website still appears to be only partially secured. I used the Whynopadlock tool and it's definitly a problem with images who aren't in https (even tho I now use the image proxy function) I'm going to send a support request to IPS to help me figure this out. Thank you for your help
