Server Stress - Suggestions

Having issues with some of the forums and am looking for help, please.

Which areas should I focus on first?  It appears that Enabling gzip compression and serving scaled images are two hot spots that need to be solved first that would gain the most benefit - I am correct?

Are there any specific areas below that can be address via the forum control panel?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, your topic title says "server stress" but you showed a pagespeed-type output that really measures how the performance at the user agent level.

If you are seeing stress on the server side of things (which would subsequently make pages render slower typically), the fixes would be different from trying to improve the user-side of things.
