Lenny Warren Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 My forum is installed in the root directory of my server, but want to move it to a sub directory /forums so that I can install a Wordpress front end. I've been searching/googling but panicking that I kill my forum, is it easy to do??? Is it just a case of modifying the base_url in conf_global.php and physically moving the folders and files?
Optic14 Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 There is documentation for this: It is for moving to a different server but many of the steps are the same, you can skip the database transfer steps as you are on the same server.

You must move the forum dolders/files to the subdirectory and update the forum url info at conf_global.php file. The follow the steps mentioned in the above posted guide.
