Is it possible to send RSS feed articles to a single thread?

My community is a gaming community, and the game in question provides a "recent in game activity" RSS feed for each player. Some players are quite active, and so they will have lots of activity. Each activity item corresponds to an article in the RSS feed.

Is there a way to send RSS feed imports to a single thread per feed URL, instead of creating a new thread for each ... item? Article? (I'm not sure of the correct terminology). Another way to say this is, each time there is a new article in someone's feed, I would like a reply to be made on the appropriate member's feed-thread.

 

Is there a way to do this?
