@Fosters Feature suggestion: I need an option to let users only choose between some groups - logged in users and guest, not admins

Can this be implemented in a future version, please?

My users ask for it.

Thanks, I have added this to my todo list

@Fosters Something else that would be nice is having the ability to set a default setting for all members. IE if you wanted to set it that by default all member profiles are set to Member View Only etc. My member don't like that profiles are viewable without logging in.

This is already something you can do natively within IPS.

Go to AdminCP -> Site Features -> Applications -> System -> Profiles.... click the lock icon, and uncheck the group that should not be able to see profiles (like "Guests" for instance).

In the meantime, I should be able to accomplish this with a template edit, right? I want a member to be able to select between "All" and "Members Only" but leave off the "Admin only" option.

The file left comments on some bugs, was it possible to fix them?

Sorry, I missed your post. Could you clarify what bugs you mean?

Is there any way to make it so that my members can choose between Public or Registered Members Only?

By allowing the Administrators only option, my regular members cannot respond to status updates because these take you to the profile page.

hi, @Fosters

Does this plugin block both of the following pages?

https://invisioncommunity.com/profile/571929-faqole/

but does not block this page https://invisioncommunity.com/profile/571929-faqole/content/

Or does it have the same flaw as the other profile privacy plugin in the marketplace?

Oh fosters.. I see you haven't responded to this thread since may.  😞

Yes, it blocks of course the second link too ( and any other hooks extending the profile )

Thank you Robert this is gold dust! Following those steps anonymous users to my forum cannot simply guess profile URLs and lookup my members photos, avatars, usernames and so on. User have to authenticate before they can see individual member details. Such an important privacy feature which needs more prominence in the getting started guide by Invision Community...

Hi @Fosters

with your plugin users can choose "All", "Members" or "Admins". What's meant with "All"?

In our community profile views are not allowed for guests. Only registered users have permission to view profiles. "All" could be unnecessary and confusing in such a case. Could you change that in a next update?
