option/feature to email trending threads

Good evening everyone,

Just wondering if there is a feature/option/mod available to send an email - on a weekly basis - trending threads and events in order to entice older members to return to the site?

I know it can be done manually via bulk email, but an automated feature would be wonderful.

Any suggestions?

I actually looked at that first. It looks good and would suit my needs, but I have failed to convince the rest of the committee that it is a viable purchase.
