Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Ford Doctor Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 My site at times feezes and serves Error 500 messages. Happens on the the entire site and in the back end. Here is one example (most errors look the same) from my CP error log. Does this point to anything IPS related? Perhaps a problem or a setting? I have not made any changes for quite some time. [Wed Mar 21 09:12:57.992800 2018] [:error] [pid 62440] (12)Cannot allocate memory: [client 157.55.39.189:11579] couldn't create child process: /usr/sbin/suphp for /home/website/public_html/index.php
Aiwa Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Are you on shared hosting / VPS / Dedicated? The 1st thing to check would be your php memory limit, but I would doubt that's the case here. I'd venture a guess the machine you're on is simply running out of RAM available due to spikes in resource usage.
Ford Doctor Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 It's shared and yes, it looks like it is having memory spikes but U canot figure out why. My host was little help other than to provider a list of things to check... which I am working on.
